Earlier this month, Cinch was named the 13th fastest-growing company at the 30th annual Utah 100 Awards, hosted by MountainWest Capital Network. This recognition is a huge honor and a reflection of all the hard work and dedication our team has put in.
The Utah 100 rankings celebrate the fastest-growing companies in the state, using a weighted average based on both percentage and dollar growth. Being ranked 13th is a major milestone for us, and we’re thrilled to share this achievement with everyone who has supported us along the way.
A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Supporters and Team
Cinch CEO Justin Rae shared, “We’re beyond grateful for this recognition, and I want to give a huge shoutout to some of the amazing people who helped us get here. Matt Smith with Campus Founders Fund believed in us early on in 2020, and in 2021, Tim Hansen, Dan Thuet, and Jono Castleton from Lionel Partners, as well as Brian Matthews from Cultivation Capital, led our seed round. It’s been great working with Matt Phimphavong from Cultivation Capital since then. Through 2022 and 2023, our team’s efforts have led to incredible growth, and thanks to Kat Kennedy and Matt Smith from Kickstart Fund, who led our Seed + round, we’re continuing to move full steam ahead.
“This award is truly a team achievement. Stan James, Amy LaVange, Danny Webb, and John-Paul Scoville, along with their teams, have been leading our go-to-market strategies. Our product and engineering teams, led by Jared Rich and Chris London—two of the best co-founders anyone could ask for—have been rock stars. Plus, we’re doing some pretty cool things with data science, thanks to Carlos Kemeny and his team. Our team has grown so much that I can’t name everyone here, but I want to thank everyone who’s been part of Cinch—past and present!”
Justin Rae’s Entrepreneurial Journey
Justin also thanked the Master of Business Creation program at the University of Utah, led by Paul Brown. “The University took a chance on this program, and it’s already making a huge difference in Utah’s economy. I believe it’s going to continue driving innovation for years to come.”
His entrepreneurial journey began in college, where he was always finding new side hustles and opportunities to turn into businesses. Over the years, Justin has founded and sold several companies, including ventures in ad sales, retail, and accounting services. Each one helped him learn and grow, paving the way for Cinch.
